Council on Standards for International and Educational Travel
AMIGOS is accredited by CSIET, which establishes standards for, monitors, and disseminates information about reputable international youth education and exchange programs.

Independent Sector
Independent Sector is the leadership forum for charities, foundations, and corporate giving programs committed to advancing the common good in America and around the world. Since 1987, AMIGOS has been a member of this nonpartisan coalition of approximately 550 organizations.

InterAction
InterAction is the largest alliance of U.S.-based international development and humanitarian nongovernmental organizations.  AMIGOS is a member of this alliance and meets relevant Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) standards established by the organization.

International Volunteer Programs Association
AMIGOS is a participating member of The International Volunteer Programs Association (IVPA), an alliance of nonprofit, non-governmental organizations based in the Americas, that are involved in international volunteer and internship exchanges.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators
NAFSA is a member organization promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities to the field.  AMIGOS is a member of this association and abides by their Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.

New Global Citizens
New Global Citizens educates, equips, and mobilizes high school
students to help solve the greatest challenges faced by communities
around the world through partnerships with grassroots organizations
that are finding local solutions to local problems.

Pan American Health Organization
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is an international public health agency that serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization.  AMIGOS has had a memorandum of understanding with PAHO since 1977.

Youth Service America
Youth Service America (YSA) is a resource center that partners with thousands of organizations committed to increasing the quality and quantity of volunteer opportunities for young people, ages 5-25, to serve locally, nationally, and globally. 

University and Community Partners

John Motley Morehead Foundation
John Motley Morehead Foundation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers full four-year scholarships to a select number of incoming freshmen.  The scholarship also includes Summer Enrichment Programs, of which AMIGOS is a supported option.  The Foundation pays for full participation and domestic travel for those students that choose AMIGOS for their humanitarian program.

John T. Caldwell Fellows Program
The John T. Caldwell Fellows Program at North Carolina State offers grants for students that are selected to join their humanitarian society basis on leadership potential, outstanding scholarship, citizenship, maturity and intellectual promise.  These grants are used for summer programs across the globe and AMIGOS is a sponsored choice for their students.

Summer Search
Summer Search is an organization with offices across the nation that works with resilient low-income high school students to inspire them to become responsible and altruistic leaders by providing year-round mentoring, life-changing summer experiences, college advising, and a lasting support network.  AMIGOS is one of the sponsored groups for their “International Summer” program.

Shepherd Poverty Alliance
The Shepherd Poverty Alliance at Washington & Lee University is dedicated to the Interdisciplinary Study of Poverty and Human Capability. The program integrates academic study and learning through service and reflection and offers three full scholarships for international humanitarian work each year.  AMIGOS is among the sponsored choices.

Tucker Foundation
Tucker Foundation at Dartmouth College has a mission is to educate Dartmouth students to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community through service, character development, and spiritual exploration.  The Foundation provides community service opportunity grants to eligible students.  AMIGOS Volunteers are consistently awarded these grants.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation selects high-achieving youth with financial need and provides them throughout high school with individualized educational opportunities and support that will enable them to develop their talents and abilities.  The Young Scholar’s Program provides grants for summer enrichment programs.

Corella & Bertram F. Bonner Foundation
The Corella & Bertram F. Bonner Foundation seeks to transform the lives of students at twenty-seven colleges and universities by providing access to education and opportunities to serve.  They provide four-year community service scholarships to approximately 1,500 students annually. AMIGOS is among the supported partners for service.

Greater Houston Partnership
Several AMIGOS senior staff are members of Greater Houston Partnership, an organization dedicated to building regional economic prosperity and building successful mutually beneficial partnerships in the Houston area.
