Kristin joined AMIGOS in 2002 as Regional Director for South America and Honduras and was promoted to Director of Latin American Programs in 2005. She has a Master of Public Health degree (International Health and Development) from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts degree (International Studies and Spanish) from Trinity University.

Prior to AMIGOS, Kristin worked as an Intern for CARE in Guatemala and for Save the Children in El Salvador. Most recently, she also worked for the Population Technical Assistance Project in Washington, D.C. where she served as a liaison between USAID in Washington, DC, USAID Missions, and senior level consultants regarding program planning and evaluation.

Kristin also has an extensive AMIGOS background:
1993: Volunteer, Costa Rica
1995: Project Supervisor, Ecuador (El Oro)
1996: Assistant Project Director, Paraguay
1997: Project Director, Mexico (Guanajuato)
2000 - 2002: Trainer, Washington, DC Chapter
