Incorporated Aloha Days, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting volleyball and volleyball facilities in the Madison area.

Founder, board member and Past President, Madison Chapter of Amigos de las Americas.
Andrew’s AMIGOS experience includes serving as an AMIGOS Volunteer in 1971 and 1972 (Chicago North Chapter). In July 2001 he started the Madison Chapter and served as President for six years. He focused on creating clear communications with parents and volunteers, a solid financial health for the chapter and support through corporate fundraising. In the past two years he has helped new parents and board members become involved in running the chapter by delegating responsibility to those individuals and promoting their success.

Andrew is currently serving on the AMIGOS International Board of Directors as Chapter Representative and is the chair of the Chapter Support Committee.  He has formerly served on the Nominations and Marketing committees.

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you’re up to today.
A: Professionally I plan and develop programs and buildings for a major academic medical center.  I have been involved with Amigos for the past 9 years and love sending off the vols to Latin America and then hearing their stories when they come back.

Q: What have you accomplished or what are you proud to be currently working on?
A: I participated in the creation of the UWHC American Family Children's Hospital.  The Children's Hospital has been very successful and serves children from all over Wisconsin.  I have a small staff at the Hospital and I enjoy organizing our efforts to maximize our projects for the benefit of patients, patient families and staff.

Q: How has AMIGOS affected your life? Did it help you get to where you are today?
A:  It promoted my sense of adventure and adaptability.  I think it did help me get to where I am today.  I am involved in planning small to very large projects and I think Amigos helped me realize that I enjoyed that type of activity.
