Involving Youth Across the Americas means increased impact and sustainability. Within our global society, leaders need to be able to work across cultural boundaries.  AMIGOS is striving to meet this need by opening our programs to youth throughout the Americas to build more leaders in our hemisphere. As our programs become available to youth internationally, we add more value to our host communities, partner agencies and the societies in which we operate.

The transformation is happening now. Our host communities, partner agencies and AMIGOS Volunteers see the value in involving Latin American youth in AMIGOS and are working with us to reach out to and involve more individuals every day. It is through these efforts that AMIGOS now has Volunteers from 5 of our 8 host countries participating in 2010.
