Updates from the Field

By:Sara Lamson, Managing Director of Latin American Programs

The projects are in full swing, and we continue to be inspired by this year's group of Volunteers! We want to share just a few of our favorite highlights from the field so far:

Peru (College Division)
See the first weekend activity where College Division Volunteers participated in a day of service with our local partner CECADE in Yaurisque, Cusco here.

Intibuca, Honduras
Keep an eye on Intibuca's blog, for great posts like this one written by 2 of the Volunteers.

Boaco, Nicaragua
Check out this video of the Boaco Project's Volunteer arrival and Briefing! If you like this one, be sure to check out the Boaco Project's blog too!

San Juan, Dominican Republic
If you can read Spanish, you can see all 19 Dominican AMIGOS Volunteers featured on the Plan DR website. 15 are volunteering in their home country and 4 are abroad, in La Paz and Boaco.

See photo highlights to-date from 2011 Projects on our AMIGOS Flickr Stream! And as always, be sure to keep an eye on our Project Updates Page!
