The opportunity to serve on AMIGOS project staff was a life-changing experience. I not only had the opportunity to develop my personal leadership skills, but to also really grow in my ability to work as part of a diverse team. The hands-on  opportunity to work cross-culturally with local organizations and communities was an incredibly challenging, inspiring, and transformational experience that has changed the course of my life. International development and youth leadership work has become a passion, and the AMIGOS staff experience provided me with an unparalleled learning opportunity to develop strong, applicable professional skills for the future. In addition to the working relationships I established, I created incredible friendships with other staff members, volunteers, partner agency contacts, and community members. Although it’s a short time, you get to know people on a deep, impactful level when you collaborate to achieve a common goal. I will always be grateful for this experience and all it has given me.

AMIGOS is currently accepting applications for Project Staff 2013. This year, for the first time ever, applicants who have never been a part of AMIGOS are encouraged to apply as Project Supervisors.
