Once you have participated in AMIGOS, you will always be an Amigo or Amiga. As Amigos, we share the unforgettable adventure that we experienced during our service in Latin America. We welcome you into the AMIGOS family of more than 24,000 alumni who remain active in their communities, locally and internationally. For many of us AMIGOS was a leadership springboard into a sucessful career. For others it was the key to becoming globally aware and engaged. For almost all of us, it was the spark that lit our desire to serve: both at home and abroad.

We ask you to join us in keeping the spirit and momentum of your AMIGOS summer alive. We'd love for you to stay involved and connected with the AMIGOS family and to use us as a resource throughout your career journey. But more importantly, we ask that you stay involved active and engaged in service no matter where that journey takes you. Remember that you are an Amigo, and now, more than ever, the world needs more Amigos.

AMIGOS supports and encourages volunteers and alumni to always serve their communities. We are inviting you to join us in a global day of service. On April 16-17, 2011, volunteers worldwide gave back to their communities on Global Youth Service Day. We hope you are involved in your community year-round. This day highlighted and celebrated those who serve their communities!
