Dear 2011 Volunteers,

Our professional staff at the International Office, Project Staff, chapters and alumni are recognizing the power that you have, as AMIGOS alumni, to be agents of change in your home communities, as well as abroad. 

With this potential in mind, we are challenging you to stop and consider the possibility of carrying out a community-based initiative process in your hometown. Whether you will be returning to the place where you grew up, going off to or returning to college, or to a brand new community, we challenge you to build on the skills you learned with AMIGOS and create positive change at home.

The Challenge: AMIGOS is offering two awards of up to $500 for the community-based initiative process to be carried out in your home communities.

Deadline:The AMIGOS International Office will be accepting proposals through September 30^th for initiatives that will begin in October - December.
