AMIGOS Training Center

AMIGOS requires all Volunteers to complete the Core Curriculum prior to traveling abroad. The subjects covered include: introduction to AMIGOS programs, health and safety, youth leadership, multicultural understanding and more.

Volunteers are trained in one of two ways to meet the Core Curriculum requirements. Volunteers who are associated with a local AMIGOS chapter must complete their chapter training program. While Correspondent Volunteers train online and attend an intensive training just prior to their departure for their AMIGOS program.
