Endowment Giving

AMIGOS has several existing endowment funds that provide long-term sustainable funding for our youth leadership and community development programs. Your principle investment will always remain in the fund, while the income generated by your gift will be used to further AMIGOS mission.

While the minimum gift for creating an endowment fund is $250,000, there are multiple options for adding to an already established fund. Please contact AMIGOS for ideas about priorities that would be conducive to funding through a newly established endowment fund or to discuss which fund you would be interested in helping grow. Additions to endowment funds can be made at any time. 
 
The following two endowment funds currently need your support:
 
The Guy Bevil Leadership Fund
Through this fund, the Foundation for Amigos de las Américas awards grants for youth-led projects in Latin America each year. These projects go above and beyond AMIGOS summer initiatives and demonstrate the powerful impact a small amount of money can make when paired with ingenuity and community collaboration. The fund was established in 2006 in honor of the visionary founder of AMIGOS. More than 50 of these grants have been made by the Foundation for Amigos de las Américas thus far, to support projects ranging from construction of a solar fruit dehydrator, a newschool, and a computer center, to establishing a chicken cooperative. The Foundation Restricted Fund
This fund provides for youth training, programs, AMIGOS Chapter establishment or for other projects that support the AMIGOS mission. Funds are not spent on general operating costs but are reserved for special projects that make a significant impact on the quality and sustainability of AMIGOS programs.
