Gap Year Excursions

Once a month, you will meet up with all of the other Gap Year Amigos to relax, tour Nicaragua, and visit attractions across the country. Here are just a few of the adventures that await you:

 

  • Visit a lush, tropical paradise on the beautiful Corn Islands

 

  • Surf, fish, or just kick back in San Juan del Sur.
  • Tour the world-class Selva Negra sustainable coffee estate, trek through pristine rainforest, and spot some incredible wildlife.

  • Hike to the top of the breath-taking Mombacho Volcano.
  • Visit the beautiful colonial town of Granada which was founded in 1524 by Francisco Hernández de Córdoba and is ostensibly the first European city in mainland America. 

 

  • Shop for treasures at Mercado de Masaya, an artisan market offering everything from hand-painted ceramics, to paintings, to clothing.
  • Take a trip to León, one of the oldest cities in Nicaragua, home Cathedral of León-one of the oldest churches in all of Central America.
