<strong>General requirements</strong></h3>
<p>
To serve as an AMIGOS Volunteer in Latin America, you must:</p>
<ul>
<li>
Be at least 16 years old by September 1st of the year of volunteer service</li>
<li>
Have completed your sophomore year of high school</li>
<li>
Have completed at least two years of high school Spanish or the equivalent</li>
<li>
Adhere to the AMIGOS Standards of Personal Conduct and Community Behavior</li>
<li>
Fulfill training and fundraising requirements</li>
<li>
Receive the Required Immunizations (pdf)</li>
</ul>

<strong>Training and Fundraising Requirements</strong></h3>
<div>
To serve as an AMIGOS Volunteer with the Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter, you must fully participate in training, service learning and Chapter fundraising.</div>
<div>
Training consists of 10 Sunday afternoon sessions, 2 overnight retreats, and 2 day-long retreats. Please see the Training tab for more information.</div>
<div>
All Volunteers are required to complete 20 hours of service learning in our local community between November and May.</div>
<div>
All Volunteers are required to participate in a Chapter Letter Writing Campaign.<br />
