Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers comitted to building a strong local chapter of AMIGOS in Nashville.


Matt Vecchio: Nashville Chapter President

Matt was a volunteer in Honduras with the Houston Chapter. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, and he is now employed in the healthcare industry.

Megan Oleson: Training Coordinator

Megan Oleson was a part of the East Bay Amigos de las Americas chapter in 1999 and volunteered for 7 weeks in Paraguari, Paraguay. While working towards her bachelor's degree in Global Studies with an emphasis in Latin America at the University of California, Santa Barbara, she studied abroad in Granada, Spain. After moving to Nashville with her family, she became reunited with AMIGOS and assumed the position of training director of the Nashville AMIGOS Chapter in 2008. Aside from her volunteer work in Paraguay, Megan has traveled to Nicaragua, Ecuador, Panama, and Mexico, and she hopes to continue to travel throughout Latin America. Apart from training, Megan finished her second bachelor's degree in Spanish at Middle Tennessee State University. She is now enrolled in graduate school at Vanderbilt University for fall 2012, where she will be studying in the Latin American Studies program.

Will McLemore: Treasurer

Will is a founder of McLemore Auctions, LLC - a company based in Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up in Nashville and attended University School of Nashville. Will has served as an AMIGOS volunteer and as a member of project staff.

Greg and Rhonda Swanson: Vice President and Secretary

Greg and Rhonda are also AMIGOS veterans - as parents! Their son spent the summer of 2006 in Oaxaca, Mexico with AMIGOS and was a 2008 AMIGOS project supervisor in Michuacan, Mexico.
