Tucson — The Amigos De Las Americas Program is giving local students the chance to partner with young adults from all over the country to change lives in Latin America.

Tucson is one of 27 chapters throughout the U.S. It  gives students the opportunity to live in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, or Paraguay for 5 to 8 weeks during their summer vacations.

While in the Latin American countries, students will live with host families and work very closely within the community.

During their stay students will teach students, build houses and help the community achieve particular goals.
