Are you looking for a summer opportunity?

Veteran Project Supervisor Needed in Oaxaca!

Oaxaca is one of the most beautiful regions in Mexico.

AMIGOS is looking for a wonderful person to serve as a Veteran Project Supervisor on the Community Nutrition project in Oaxaca this summer!  This may be a perfect opportunity for you or for someone you may know!  The Community Nutrition project in Oaxaca is a college-only project that focuses on promoting the consumption and cultivation of amaranth, a native grain, to women and children in the community.  In addition, this project will involve educational activities on other nutritional topics and will also include a Community-Based Initiative component.

The dates for the Project Supervisor position in Oaxaca are June 1 to August 10.  Since we have already held project staff training, we are only accepting applicants that have served as project supervisors in the past.  Summer is approaching fast, so the goal is to fill this position as soon as possible.  Please contact us immediately if you are interested in this opportunity.  Any questions can be directed to Kate McGuire, Regional Director for Oaxaca, at kmcguire@amigoslink.org.  Or you may call 1-800-231-7796 and ask to speak to anyone in the Latin American Programs Department.

“I saw through my work with AMIGOS that there were so many ways to influence the world. I realized that if I studied what interested me, there would be opportunities to use whatever skills I learned to better my environment, from the neighborhood where I grew up to a little town on the other side of the world.”
