How to Join Project Staff

Now that you have decided to join our Project Staff team, the next step is to start the application process. Through this process, former AMIGOS Volunteers are competitively selected to provide in-country supervision and management of the community service projects in Latin America.

Project Supervisor positions are open to all individuals who have served previously as an AMIGOS Volunteer. Senior Staff positions (Project Director, Associate Project Director and Senior Project Supervisor) are open to individuals who have served previously as an AMIGOS Project Supervisor.

Starting Your Application

Before you begin filling out your application, you will want to do the following:

  • Take a look at the descriptions of the upcoming projects to get a feel for which you are most interested in participating. You will be able to indicate preferences in the application, but AMIGOS does not guarantee placement in your selected projects.
  • Think about other commitments you have already made and how they might limit your availability in early or late summer. There are AMIGOS projects that start later and some that end earlier, so we may be able to accommodate your scheduling needs. Any time limitation for summer service will need to be noted in your application.

Downloading the Application

You can download the Project Staff application directly from this website by going to the Project Staff Application page. After you have completed all required sections, please mail a hard copy of your application to:

AMIGOS Voices

“Knowing how powerful my experiences in AMIGOS were for me, ever since the end of my summer in Paraguay I have wanted to be a Project Supervisor so that I might be able to facilitate another Volunteer having an incredible experience as well.”
