San Pedro, Paraguay 2011: Project Update #3
Today marks the Volunteers’ final week in community. Although many components of the project, such as stove construction, are finishing up, the Volunteers are still hard at work in the schools conducting educational workshops. All communities are also receiving a donation of trees this week from one of our partner agencies, so Volunteers are busy finding suitable places to plant the trees where they will be protected and able to thrive.
Additionally all communities are hard at work preparing for our despedida (going away party) and the accompanying soccer and volleyball tournaments. Each team is busy practicing. They are competing for a live pig to bring back to the community to share! We have had so much fun this summer, and look forward to a very successful end to our project.
