A group of anonymous donors from the AMIGOS International Board, Foundation, and Staff is issuing a challenge for all AMIGOS chapters to raise new scholarship funds for deserving AMIGOS Volunteers from now until October 15^th!  

For each person who signs up for monthly giving to the Santa Clara Valley Chapter during this challenge (for just $5 or more per month), the annual amount of your gift will be immediately matched for use as chapter scholarship funds.  The following year, if you remain a monthly donor, your donation will continue to go to our chapter.

So, for example, if you sign up to give $10 per month, our chapter will receive your monthly gift as well as an immediate $120 matching gift - $240 total!

The total amount of funds available for the match is $27,000 across all chapters,  more than DOUBLE the amount of scholarship support that AMIGOS IO has been able to offer in the past, and will enable many more scholarship Volunteers to experience the summer of a lifetime with AMIGOS.

Details about Monthly Giving

Monthly giving provides a predictable source of support for AMIGOS that we can plan on and allocate where it is needed most in the organization – in this case for scholarship support!  The minimum monthly gift is just $5 per month, and donors can choose to give on either the 1^st or the 15^th of each month.  

Why Scholarships?

Decreasing barriers to participation in our programs is a key priority for AMIGOS.  Every year there are Volunteers who are not able to become AMIGOS Volunteers without financial support.  We need the support of our entire AMIGOS community to help us provide this incredible experience and touch the lives of a more diverse group of young people.  Every new dollar that is raised through this challenge will equal an additional dollar of scholarship support that we will be able to offer deserving Volunteers!
