Andrew Howick

Andrew is currently the Director Facilities Planning and Program Development at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, WI. He graduated from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Psychology and from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Masters in Business Administration.
Andrew is familiar with all aspects of health care management through participation in numerous major capital projects within a major academic medical center:
- Managed $550+ million in capital projects in the last 10 years with some annual budgets exceeding $100 million
- Past President of the Greater Madison Area Health Management System Society
- Incorporated Aloha Days, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting volleyball and volleyball facilities in the Madison area
- Founder, board member and Past President, Madison Chapter of Amigos de las Américas
Andrew’s AMIGOS experience includes serving as an AMIGOS Volunteer in 1971 and 1972 (Chicago North Chapter). In July 2001, he started the Madison Chapter and served as President for six years. He focused on creating clear communications with parents and Volunteers, a solid financial health for the chapter and support through corporate fundraising. In the past two years, he has helped new parents and board members become involved in running the chapter by delegating responsibility to those individuals and promoting their success.
Andrew is currently serving on the AMIGOS International Board of Directors as Chapter Representative and is the chair of the Chapter Support Committee. He has formerly served on the Nominations and Marketing committees.
