Julia Fleckman
Julia began her AMIGOS career as Houston Chapter Volunteer in Bolivia in 2002 and a Veteran Volunteer in the Dominican Republic in 2003. She returned to AMIGOS again as a Project Supervisor in Panama in 2005. She then served on Senior Staff as a Senior Project Supervisor in Nicaragua in 2007, an Associate Project Director in Honduras in 2010, and a Project Director in Honduras in 2011.
Prior to working at AMIGOS, Julia worked in public health research and practice in Houston and Washington, D.C. with a specific focus on health promotion and program monitoring and evaluation. She has also served as the Training Director for the Houston Chapter since 2009.
Julia has a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas and holds a Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Colgate University.
