Kate was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Regis University in 2005 with a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish. She has traveled all over the world seeking out opportunities to become involved in the global movement for social justice. Kate had the honor of participating as a delegate at the World Social Forum in both Porto Alegre, Brazil (2003) and Mumbai, India (2004). Before moving to Houston, Kate taught conflict and anger management classes to at-risk youth in the Denver Metro Area at the Conflict Center.
