Learn and Experience:

Youth Ambassadors study community development, civic engagement, and leadership theories and practice through a three-week training in the US for South American participants and in South America for US participants.

Interact:

Youth Ambassadors engage with US culture and South American culture through host family life, interactions with US and South American peers, and visits to cultural and governmental sites in the US and capital cities of select South American countries.

Empower:

Youth Ambassadors gain leadership skills to become civic activists in their home communities and support other youth in developing these skills.

Implement:

Participants gain hands on experience in the design and implementation of a community based development project in their home community in South America and the United
